Flat black or flat white...? Post pics if you have them!!!

I been tossing around the idea of flat blacking or flat whiting my FC. This will be done with the roll on technique. I been bored with my car and even had it for sale/trade for a while now. I turned down a lot of offers mainly because its hard to let go of this car. So I think I need something to get me interested in my FC again... Enter paint/wheel scheme.

I always have liked flat black when its done right. But I love the look of my car right now in the factory white. But the paint is **** and is chipping here and there and is really in need of help. So I thought flat white might be a nice suttle change and will go on much nicer and hide flaws much better than the black.

If anyone has pics of flat white or flat black FCs post them!!!!!

Also, I wanted to do something with the wheels or accent the car in a few areas with another color to make it stand out from the hordes of flat black cars (if i choose the black over white). I'm taking suggestions in this area. I have a few ideas. But am interested in what others have thought of...

Pic of the car as it sits right now for reference...
(Paint is not as good as it looks in the pics)

you can spray it through a hvlp gun thinned, i did that for my engine bay with rustoleum satin black 7777, hot rod guys swear by it.

Heres my bay. To me it looks good though i havent put the car back together yet to test it but most of the guys who done it say the 7777 is pretty tough.

But overall, my car was flat black when I got it, i dont know what JTP sprayed it with, but it eventually started to fade and look bad, would stain up here and there and touch it up with spray can. Ive actually heard people give me **** for painting the car. Car feels soo much better with paint on it though. The whole flat color gets pretty tiring when you drive the car everyday imo. Im gonna paint it again when i get it back running.

i dont think flat black or white would look much better on your car imo, at least your car is 1 color already. Id go for a gloss color for yours, fresh white or something. Even blue like this, not many FCs in this color http://www.h6.dion.ne.jp/~haya/index-top.html

It is a nice feeling have to wash your car, wax/buff it when needed etc. lol

For your wheels, I say white, silver, or gold. Typical colors but I say they are alot better than what people are doing now with pink, purple, orange etc.

how about flat red LOL, paint on mines is so dull.

I would never again to flat anything, when I had my 240sx I went with flat black....the finger prints, the grease.....but damn it looks sexy when its wet haha. Every time it rains I just stare at the car.

You might be bored with the current color but, flat white is just sooooo boring also. Needs some gloss.
Paint the rims in some accent colors of sort to make it the main point of the car. Its why people paint rims in crazy colors. Powercoat the rims with some crazy color combo like black or dark silver spokes with a bright color on the lip section.

Stock white with black trim, black hood & black headlight covers is the way to go.

FCs look great in white when done right. Of course everything clearcoated.
I have seen a lot of cars painted matt/flat including Evos, Audis, Mercedes etc ...
Honestly it looks like shiet.

The matte color does not match the form of the car, Its a pita to spray and to maintain.
Paint companys offer additives which can be mixed together with their clearcoat to generate the matte effect.

Your car looks like a clean base to start, I cant see any rust on it, a nice white color and black trim will surely look great and won't draw too much unwanted attention.

Make sure when painting the shop removes the FTPs trim mirrors and all that stuff to provide a quality paintjob.
Most shops like to skip these things ...

Dare I say keep the wheels that color, and paint the car Hugger orange or something? I seen one orange FC from japan in a Modified magazine and I loved the color combo, maybe swap your hood for a carbon TII scooped one, or a reverse vented with a rear diffuser on the back of the car would look pretty sick.
