You can contact Inukai at Amemiya US sales: sakae_inukai@yahoo.co.jp he was at the RE-A booth and will probably bring you the hat from Japan and you can pick it up in SF, that's what he does when I order stuff.

Does he normally do this for anyone? I am interested in buying a few things from RE-A. But I don't want to just randomly bother him if it's not cool to do so.

Don't be surprise if he takes half a year to get the parts to you. He will come through with it, but for some reason it takes longer to get parts directly from RE A. I've gone through him over the past 5 years, collecting parts, and it takes much longer compare to RHDJapan. I rather pay the extra $$$ instead of waiting forever. Don't know why that is because he does frequently travels from Cali and Japan.

 

I figured it would take a while. I don't mind though, I not in a hurry.

I don't recall it being too long from him, however I did get an expensive set of coilovers haha. And I think he travels all over the world so that may explain your experience.
