I'm speculating here, but I'm gonna say no. 87 SE vs. a completely different suspension platform created 12 years later.....

I'll jump right in and say not a chance. Mac strut front/semi-trailing arms rear vs. double A-arms all round on the Miata - besides considerable difference in size, weight, and travel between the cars. The biggest commonality between Miatas and FC's is Mazda badges and "family resemblance" front end styling on early Miatas.

Completely different suspension design between the cars. Even if they were to fit, they would probably considerably stiffer than the manufacturer ever intended.

Wrong

...transmission gearing, hand brake handles, trunk and gas latches interchangeable. No badges were shared and the Miaters looked more similar to FD's. The missing runt rotorless link between the FC vert and the FD.
