whats up? i just picked up a 1985 Rx-7. Sweet pick up i think...until i tried to open the hood. i think its stuck, does anyone have any ideas how you can get it up. im thinking about jacking the car up and getting underneath it and pushing it up with a pole or something. any ideas? any suggestions would be good. thanks

 

dont really have any ideas, but why buy a car without checking out whats under the hood first? it could have a Geo Metro motor for all you know.

 

well, if you didn't look under the hood before you bought it, i think it is appropriate to tell you that the hood opens from the rear on an '85, like a bmw

 

try to locate the cable that runs from the release lever in the cabin to the hood latch. pull it and it should pop the hood.
