Bun-Bun intro

My name is Jeff, and I always liked the look of the RX-7's, starting from the first generation, which came out when I was in college in Baltimore. Time passed, and I had other sports cars, but never an RX-7.
Then in the early nineties, my wife(Then girlfriend) needed a car, and wanted something"sporty". We found a 1988 RX-7GXL at a local dealer. Since my wife has consistently refused to learn how to drive a manual transmission, it was an automatic, but I still remember that the car had decent power for it's size. After a couple of years, I noticed the car woould smoke on startup, and tried to convince my wife that it was time to let go, and get something else before it died, but she loved the car, and refused to sell it.
One day I get a call from my wife, the car died. We took it into the mechanic, but it was toast. We weren't up to the challenge of rebuilding the motor, and I already had a project car(A 1980 FIAT Spider), so we parted it out. I remember it sat in our driveway for over a year, slowly looking sadder and sadder as parts came off.
So last week I finally got around to cleaning out our garage, and found the original seats from the car. They're in too good of a shape to just trash, so I figured I'd join up, and get rid of 'em. I may end up with another RX-7 down the line, it was a good car until it died, and one of the guys in my car club has one with an LS-1. I like the LS-1 swap, I can work on that motor, and my buddy's goes like stink.

Welcome Jeff. LS1 is a good thing. Having the wifey master driving a manual even better.

My wife is learning slowly and making progress. She wants to learn how to ride a motorcycle......using my R6. I said no regardless. lol.
