My story

I first became aware of rotaries through my cousin who has a rx3 in p.r. I
was like 8yrs old. When in my teens they became my favorite affordable sports cars. I have had 81 gsl at, 83 rx7 5spd, 88 se rx7, 84 gslse with glass roof targa band leather seats, racing beat exhaust and suspension..which i had to sell in spring of 99 due to my then wife expecting our first child...i wish i hadnt.. After leaving the rotary scene for several years, in jan 05 for my birthday i treated my self to a nordic green sport rx8...which loved...i totaled the rx8 in jan of 09 i was caught going home by a snow storm..i currently own a chrsyler srt8...today i got back into the scene buying a pretty clean 91 automatic vert... Looking for to going to meets with you guys.....rx7s a poor man ferrari lol

Interesting story! I fell for rotaries when I purchased my first car a 1972 RX3 with a 10B. Didn't have a lot of power, but loved the high revs the rotary offered. I skipped the first gen RX7s, but later bought a 90 FCS Turbo II and drove that for a few years until the 3rd gens came out. Once I drove the FD there was no turning back, the accerlation between the 90 FCS and the FD was like night and day. The FD also handled much better, so long story short I'm an owner of a 94 FD3S. Still looking forward to the day when Mazda releases a NEW RX7.
