Why do the GC coilover sleeves for the FC not offer more wheel clearance than stock like the aftermarket coilovers do? What can be modified on the GC/Koni setup to allow for more clearance?

 

its the lower mount. compare stock to typical coilovers, and you'll see that the coilover's lower ears are much bigger, pushing the strut away form the wheel.

AWR's strut tubes for koni/bilstein emulate stock, so i had to modify mine (weld on new ears that i drafted up)
