So after many years of schooling the day of graduation is drawing near. Months of deliberation led me to the conclusion that I had to have an FD RX-7 for my graduation present to myself.

It just so happens that a car enthusiast friend of mine is no longer interested in keeping his '93 R1 and is wanting to sell it to me for what he originally bought it for. $11,000. It's in great condition and has 74k original miles.

So I have decided to join the forum and load up on knowledge pertaining to the FD. I previously owned an '03 EVO VIII and pretty much modded it to where all that was left stock was half of the turbo, the head, the block, and flywheel. Everything else was installed by me and tuned by me. I loved that car with a passion but finishing my education was more important so I sold her. I ran a 12.07@117 with a 1.62 60 foot before the cams.

I hope that modding and tuning the FD is as much fun as the EVO was for me. I'm sure that it will prove to be a great learning experience as well.

Maybe an LS1 swap is in the future.
