Where can I get compression/coolant seal check

Anybody know where I could get a compression check, and a coolant seal check done local in Los Angeles?

Just installed a new motor, and its blowing a lot of smoke at start up. I haven't driven it because I'd like to make sure it's 100% ok before I start to break it in.

Let me know where I can get this done, thanks.

rent one at vatozone. its free.

check the coolant level and see if it changes. also check your radiator hoses and make sure that its not getting too much pressure build up.

and who built the motor???

Thanks for the tips. Will check that stuff soon as I can. I purchased the motor on this forum. It was described at less than 1000 miles. It does look new. Vacuum is ~ 10hg , but that's with fluctuation between 5-700 rpms. I didn't find any vacuum leaks. The coolant bubbles at start up and subsequently goes away, too hard to tell if there are any champagne bubbles without that large funnel. The car blows what *seems* to be white smoke for a while at start up, but it's been very cold lately so I can't tell if that's from something in the engine or just moisture.

I'd rather just have the compression/coolant seals checked professionally before I move forward...

Thanks for everything guys.
