I need help looking for a new shop to rent or maybe purchase close to the jersey city area. I was just informed today that the landlord wants me out by the end of jan which is very short notice. I currently have a couple projects still unfinished. I love this shop as i have been working at it since i was 10 with my father. Sucks as well because we wanted to buy the shop previously from the 1st owner but were screwed over. The owner was a good friend of my father and sold the shop with out informing us for a measly 120k. Just called us the next day and said dont give me the rent no more you have a new owner. The 2nd owner was a bitch but we stayed til he decided to auction the shop. I tried to buy it but they said i needed a 50k cash deposit. Shop ended up being sold for 1.2 mil. Now the current owner wants us to leave to build a new condo complex in our spot.

Way to end the yr by being told we have a month to clear out and move. I currently have 4 fc projects, 1 300zx project, stealth rt project, and 3 subie projects still unfinished. So any help or recommendation to any shops available for rent or sale would be greatly apreciated. I cant see myself doing anythin other than cars and rotarys. Had my fc for 7 yrs now. Father taught me everything i know and started the shop in 83.

Sorry for the long writing. Just been a bad end of the yr for me.
If anybody knows anything bout shops available let me know asap please.

Do you know Art and Ted? Maybe they can help you out. I believe their shop is in Jersey city as well.

 

haha Art is my brother. Its our shop that i was talking about. We found a few options but still looking into them.

 

Check Craigslist, IIRC there was a decent space available in jersey city under the parking/storage section of the northern NJ CL.

There are a couple of places here in secaucus by the industrial section. There was a 150x40ft place that my friend and i were gonna rent but my friend had no money and i wasnt gonna do 100% investing.

I'll check to see if its still available.

 

Have you found a location yet? I'm looking for a shop to work on my FD and haven't found anything in the north Jersey/Hudson area.
