How To build A Boost Pressure Tester... Searched
alright guys looked everywhere i see people saying to build one but never any instructions on how to do so .... can anyone tell me the pieces i need to buy to build one of these i dont have 30 bucks to spend on one i can maybe salvage 15 but i want to do it tonight.... any help would be awesome

I just bought mine because I was lazy, but I think the parts are
round pvc cap (3" usually)
1/4 NPT-->male air compressor fitting (or tire valve) depending on your air source
1/4 NPT tap
some kind of coupler and clamp(s) to connect it to the turbo inlet. factory inlet is 2 1/4" I believe. you can also pressure test a naturally aspirated car to look for vacuum leaks (i've done it on piston engines) but I wouldn't use a whole lot of pressure.

If you can't spend 30 bucks on your car,.you have the wrong car!.30 bucks is just the tip of the iceberg on these cars!
anyways.I built one from a 2.5 inch plumbing pipe end,a Swimming pool Pump gauge,and a rubber tire Valve stem...and it cost me 26 bucks canadian.(**** ain't cheap!)...look at the pic of the one on fighters-garage..you can go from there.
really you don't need the Gauge..you can just get a cap and a valve..clamp it on your piping and using a GOOD air compressor(not a dinky Bike pump,you will sit there all day trying to pump air in),give it air..you will hear the leak..
This tester found six leaks on my Piping/system in a matter of minutes.

Ive made tons and tons of throw away ones. just grab a coupler that fits on the intake of the turbo. then find a cap off of a rattle can or something that fits in the other side of the coupler. add some electrical tape to the cap so it seals and holds better under pressure. Get a air chuck out of something. anything that plugs into the air compressor hose take the fitting off of it, if you have a blow gun use that fitting. drill a hole in the top of the cap and screw the fitting into the top of the cap. put a hose clamp on the coupler to hold the cap on and a clamp on the coupler to hold it on the turbo. kink the air hose, plug it in to the coupler, slowley unkink it and if you have a leak you'll hear it. DO NOT UNKINK THE HOSE ALL THE WAY. THAT WOULD BE WHATEVER PSI THE COMPRESSOR PUMPS UP TO GOING INTO THE MOTOR. the plastic caps are good to about 60psi and i dont think youll be pushing anywere near 60pounds lol.
