well i jus found out that there are quite a few people with rx7's around the albany area. I was wondering if maybe we all could chime in here n make up a time n date we all could meet up n jus talk or something, i jus got my 7 and i think it'd be cool if we meet up with some people who have been owners n can talk about there cars and what not.

I tried to get everyone together like a year ago we could never set a date I use to live in Troy Ny, and Had a garage RTR inc. I have since closed my Casleton, and Averill Park locations and moved out to Greenwich Ny 12834 And re opened as F.R. Rocket's L.L.C. looking for new adventures all who wish to come I have a 150'X75' field we can all hang and park in the Future site of our state of the art facility in the works, More then welcome to come peep the scene and hang chat what ever we have two shop FC's a 90 Vert 64k miles and a, (89 GTU 19k miles 700HP!) finishing buttoning her up maybe we can take her out for a RIP there is a lot of back road twisty's that are 55mph going from here to Fort Edward NY, and Cambridge Ny, that we can exploit lol If anyone is interested Email us @ FRROCKETSINC@aol.com or our main non business email Racex7@aol.com

hey hey dont know how i missed this thread
i was kinda the coordinator for the albany area when nyra was in full swing but I always ran into the same issues as above
no one from albany comes on the forum or they cant ever show up when a date is set
I cant tell you how many times I set a meet up at Thatcher park or downtown Albany and would be waiting by myself all day....so I finally gave up
Anyways me and a fellow RX7 owner Brian who lives in Troy still get together and hang a bit and work on our cars or cruise etc (more than likely work on our cars since mine isnt driveable at the moment)
But im always up for hangin or gettin together

I'm off exit 7 or 8 (depending on which way you go).
I'm down off exit 4 all the time, my boys shop is in warwick.

I'll be up at 211 tonight (middletown thing). @10 or so with my rx and 2 turbo swapped cobalts if you want to join. (we're usually by the pizza place).

 

In middletown? all ricers go there.. its about 5 mins from my house

Yeah I know it kinda sucks, but I just moved up here from queens and that's the only thing I really know up here. That white one is a rhd one too

 

ah cool aint touching that place with a 10 foot pole when i used to go there all you heard is "yo last night someone broke in to my garage and stole my wheels!" and stuff like that lol

Ya i know of a lot of them from high school like 90% of the crowd, they used to friend people find out where they live and break in and **** it was pretty damn lame. dunno if its still that way but im pretty sure it is lol theres my FB down the road and a yellow one

 

yeah there were a few first gen rx's out there friday and that white RHD one. I don't let anyone know where I live except a few friends, and I go all the way out there so I can tell if someone is tailing me on the way home. I'm used to that crap from when I lived in NYC.

 

I just picked up a 1st gen ('79) and might be able to make it out for a visit every few months (I'm about 3 hours away) but would like to get out & meet some other people interested in rx7's

I'm not quite willing to take it out there right yet, as I haven't driven it enough to really trust it... but I'd definitely like to meet up with people.

Thats nuts years ago when i brought mine i was the only one... for months then i stopped going. Rotary owners must be getting bored... maybe we should get our own meets together, talk to them and let me know, u going this friday?
