Cool How much PSI?

Am getting new tires for my FD. 731's Bridgestones, and am wondering what kind of PSI should I have them at. For both optimum performance, and good gas mileage?
Thanks!

heres what u do, put 35 psi in it, just to be safe. then find urself a nice clean patch of Pavement, or concrete. and Lay a set of stripes, go back and check them out.

if you see dark lines on the outer edges of the stripes, give it more air.

iff its dark in the middle, light on the outside, take some air out.

keep finessing it till you get a nice even wear patter across the width of the stripes. and REMEMBER that psi, so u can inflate ur tires to the right level.

FYI: my 79 Trans Am, had 245-60-r15s, it takes 45 psi to get an even patch

my 85 K5 blazer, has 32x12.50 LT15s, and those take a whopping 50 psi, i have them at 47 psi now. when u go offroading, take it down to 20 psi, maybe 15...course thats not an issue w/ a 7,now is it? unless ur sorta...nutty.

anywho, good luck bro

chris

Uhhh, wow. I'm not too sure about that last prognosis but if it were up too me I'de start out with manufacter recomended and find someone with a pyrometer. You're looking for about 7 degrees hotter on the inside than the outside. Most of the last post is about right though. If it's hotter in the middle you want lower pressure. Visa versa. Also your alignment has alot to do with it.
