Nervous new member!!

Hello, i am COCONUTMUTT! The proud owner of a 1983 RX 7, a.k.a. GINA. I was introduced to the RX 7 when I was twelve or thirteen. A long time friend showed up in front of my house with this car that resembled a Datsun 240, knowing better i said, "what the hell is that?!!". He said "it's an rx7"! I said "a what? It look's like a wanabe 240 and sounds like s__t!". He laughed, then pulled doughnut after doughnut until I could'int see the street and he could'int see where he was going!! I WANTED ONE!!! Well, it's a number of years later but I'm the proud owner of Gina. I picked her up for thirteen hundred. I thought she was super clean, and a steal for the price. I'm a fool for anything that has an outragous red line!! Of course I'm a big sport bike nut! Right now all of my attention as well as money is focused on Gina!! I want my first gen babe to stay a true first gen car, but be able to walk on, or at the very least keep up with the newer generation's. So here I sit full of question's, and to date have recieved very few answer's!......I throw myself at the mercy of the RX7Club.com God's!!.....

This forum has almost every answer you will ever need. If it isn't already posted, odds are that someone will know.

The first thing you should do is read the FAQ. Grab a drink, and read it again.

Rx7's are a love/hate relationship. If you take care of your car, you will love them, and they will love you back. If you happen to neglect ANYTHING, it will bite you in the..... wallet. Many will try to scare you away. If your ready for a commitment, then your ready for fun!

and 12A's are almost indestructible, so you started with a great choice.

Spend a few weeks reading the posts that come up. You learn the most by reading up on the problems everyone else is having (or has had) and go from there. Read all the FAQs for even better insight.
