cheapest way to make a rx7 have 410whp
Trending Topics
The cheapest way to get an RX7 with 400+ RWHP is to do it RIGHT. When you cut corners on these cars, your engine will grenade on you. A 4K rebuild plus a new turbo(s) when the apex seals destroy the current turbo(s) when it goes too lean or too hot or both will set you back big $$$.
Like Scrims says, you may be able to hit 400+ RWHP, but I doubt you will do it over and over again unless it is done correctly.

Clearly 409 HP is never enough. 410 is where the car becomes m@d qwik yo!
Seriously, that's a very odd and arbitrary number to come up with and makes us all wonder what is so special about 410 RWHP. Advice will also vary greatly depending on what car you are starting with.
Keep in mind that 400 HP is fairly easy. 400HP with any sense of reliability takes a bit of skill and know-how.

Don't know what a Fujita kit is...
If you want to make 400 HP at that boost level, the GT40R is a great turbo. If you don't care about the boost level, then you can get by with a smaller and cheaper turbo. 35R, 60-1, etc. Those will make 400HP around 16-17 PSI.
You'll need the full turbo upgrade, standalone, fuel system, front mount, exhaust and the bits I am forgetting (plumbing, gauges, etc.).

Better in what way? What is the intended use of the car?
While twins set up correctly will provide better spool, the considerable cost and labour required to do this usually dictates that a turbo upgrade is a single turbo.

You have two choices
Choice One - go to the Single Turbo section and do a lot of reading. You need to edumacate yourself - getting spoon-fed isn't going to happen on this forum since those of us who have been here a while will want to see you put in the effort. I've got 400 rwhp, and it wasn't cheap, nor quick.
Choice Two - go to the motor swap area, and do a lot of reading.
The information is there, but most of us are first going to say "do a search, noob". Your question has been asked and answered many times over.
misterstyx69 - very clever.

Says the user with 2 posts. I have done my fair share of lurking too...
Fujita kit probably means FEED which is super expensive. FWIW, Aero kits don't help you make 400+ rwhp.

True, but in this section, the New Member Tech section, that is NOT an acceptable answer...anyone falling on "Do a search" is going to be asked to STOP posting in this section, simple as that.
Carry on, my 200 shot nitrous is still the cheapest, most reliable way to get that 410.5 HP number...

but how safe is that? and how long is a 200 shot of nos gunna last. that motor will go fast. unless you build the motor. but then why not do a bunch of other stuff and cut out the nitrous? ha.

Because a bunch of "other stuff" or an LT1/LS1/LS2/LS6 motor...any of it...it's going to cost a lot more than $200...HA, ha, ha, HA!
How long does a motor have to make that 410 hp? It'll be safe for the 1 to 5 seconds when you actually need it, this ain't no road course engine he's asking about.

search, read, decide on your own. As is evident from most of the posts above you will find many helpful and many more not so helpful posts on the topic.
Your question needs to have better insight into what you want the car to do, be, whatever.
dfoster is right...doing it the right way will be the cheapest way.
HP isn't cheap in a rotary, cutting corners will almost inevitably lead to increased cost.

BNR stage 3's, street port, 850cc primaries, 1600cc secondaries, Walbro fuel pump, Apexi Power FC, and some sort of exhaust...? Does this seem about right? He did say "cheapest".
i'm going to agree on a LSx. my WS6 for example. stock motor, $300 cam, $300 long tubes, $100 custom exhaust, $200 intake with k&n, $80 pushrods for reliability and $150 lifters for reliability and $150 tune sat me at 406. I like rotaries, dont get me wrong, but price to performance to reliability, its just not there for me. Ill drive the **** out of this rotary until it blows. Once it does its LSx for me.
