Hello from Japan

Hello from Japan.

I'm not a Mazda guy, but my friend that I go to the track with is. He has a 96 FD that is pretty crazy. So we are working on it together and I've been lurking this forum finding information.

appreciate all the posts and Info. Maybe I'll be able to contribute somehow.
Thanks!

I was born in Japan, but I moved to Connecticut when I was 4. Now that I have grown a bit and seen how awesome the vehicles are in Japan... I wish to go back. Haha

Greetings some Connecticut

Are you an American in Japan, US military? Or Japanese?

Thank you for all the welcomes from everyone.

To answer some questions:
I live in Yokohama.

The weather is getting warmer, spring has really started and the cherry blossoms have fully bloomed.

I am a U.S. born 1/2 Japanese U.S. citizen. I am not in the military. But due to blood right I can live in Japan permanently with 90% the rights of a full Japanese citizen.

Welcome JDM_FD!

Even if you don't own a rotary-powered machine, since you and your buddy service his 96 FD, feel free to post. That's the nice part about rotary knowledge and inspiration...it sneaks up on you when you least expect it and it works both ways

True, I don't own a rotary currently but I have had a few for short periods of time.
I even drove a brand new FD back in 1994 for a short while.
Been tinkering with them every now and then. Most involved I've ever been though with a RX7 is rebuilding a FC transmission. Other than that just small tinkering/servicing now and then.
