Im no stranger to bleeding brakes but after I removed my ABS to install the garfinkle torque brace and reinstalled it, I noticed noised comming from the abs unit everytime I pumped the brakes while the car is off. (Im working on vmic project so i cant turn the car on yet) The brakes are all very spongy.

I thought it was air in the abs unit so I began to bleed the brakes. After properly bleeding the brakes, the brake pedal is still spongy while the car is off. The noise almost went away also. All the brake lines are tightly connected to the abs and none leak.

My question is: To fully bleed out the air in my abs, do I need to turn on the car, drive it and engage abs then bleed it ? Or do you guys think it is something else. Keep in mind I have not turned the car on yet. After Im done with my Vmount, I will try to bleed it after pumping the brakes with the car on.

 

Just do another bleed and it should be fine. I did two bleeds after my installation of the Garfinkle ETB; one using a power bleeder and one the old fashion way. Worked like a charm.

 

So after I drive it I should bleed it again... I will try it out as soon as the car gets back on the road.
