fan relay

what would make my fan relay buzz and get really hot? wrong connections? i figured you can connect the coil terminals either way and achieve the same thing, and the same with the load terminals. im sure im not the first person to experience this.

The coil connections are non polar. As are the contact connections.

How exactly do you have it wired? First though, just try another relay.

yeah i guess it could be bad. i used the diode across the signal to ms and the 12v supply. with the line on the diode towards 12v. the 12v for the coil is the same as the contact 12v. i have the relay on the ground side of the fan, inline, with a fuse.
