20b TPS sensor pin out needed

Does anyone have a pinout for the 20b TPS sensor? Please be clear on the orientation. I 'attempted' to set mine up using the wide range output with info that has been passed down by email through several people and the voltage goes up, down, and back up when going from 0-100% open.

I agree that the HITman pinout is a little off. At least mine was different from that diagram.

Which sensor pin is 1? The cosmo pinout didn't work for me. Separately, how do you guys have the sensor orineted; is the connector facing the driver side or pas side?

Thanks,

Chris

i remember with mine, i looked up the S5 fc, and the FD pinouts, and had to verify em, turned out to be the same as the fd, and the wire colors even matched (i have the 20b harnesses)

also remember the fd tps is on the REAR of the tb, and the cosmo is on the front, maybe this is the confusion?

Mine was different than the 13B diagram. I don't want to go from memory so I'll post up the pinout later when I have my log book in front of me. Thanks again.

I know this is an old thread, but I thought I would leave this here to help anyone that needs it.

20B-REW TPS pinout confirmed

I've just gone through troubleshooting my TPS and confirm that AZHillman and his nicely labelled photo are indeed 100% correct. Decades of wrong information in here, but I've back probed the ECU harness and tested continuity to each of the labelled pins and this is correct for the 20B-REW in a JC Cosmo.

On that note, does anyone know of an alternative TPS that is compatible with the 20B's throttle body and the JC's harness/ECU? Mazda has discontinued NF01-18-911. At the time of writing this Atkins appears to have 2 in stock but they're egregiously priced ($550).

Greetings everyone, im definitely not posting much on here these days, but i was looking for this Cosmo/20B Pinout, i have confirmed that the old Haltech / Hitman graphic that's available in a few places and in the Haltech Support pages, has the pin locations in the correct placements, but, the text/colors indications are incorrectly positioned. For everyone's benefit, here is an updated TPS pinouts for FC/FD/Costmo/20B. The 'Narrow' signal isnt usable with most engine management systems which is why i've left them and other signals as "Not Connected".

Cheers.

Ok, i needed to correct something on this. So this first one was incorrect. Here is the final version with proper original 20B Colors. If anybody wants to upload a pic of their original throttle connector and the wire colors to verify please do! Cheers!

This image is incorrect. Ive gone even further and tracked down an original harness connector with original colors to verify with the factory manual, this is 100% correct and verified now. Side note, the Haltech / Hitman graphic is correct with positions but NOT the colors. So keep that in mind.

I can not speak to the factory wiring diagram for the Cosmo, but I have checked the sensor on my throttle body and confirmed what I posted.
This would be for 0 - 5v for 0 - 100% throttle and is the the way mine is wired to an Elite 750
