Either an LS1 or go with a nice Turbo II motor.

turboII is cheaper.
by along shot. Now turbo II is from the turbo model of the rx7.
not the N/A so its not as easy as to just boost your n/a motor.

Theres lots of write ups on that!!

LS1=V8 cash pit.
if you got the money go ahead im sure theres a write up somewhere.

a TII motor is not the same as a turbo charged NA motor... There are quite a few differences in the design.

What are your goals for this car? IS it gonna be set up for track racing or auto-x or is this gonna be one of those pimp cars that hangs around a tim hortons on a friday night?

Soo im not really sure if i wanna commit so much money to this car at the momment..considering an S2000 is in the picture for next summer...but yeha...i dunno i wanna b hitting roughly 200HP wit the car... but defently lookn sick also, my buddy had 1..holy **** shyt my pants lol.

SO yeha ne suggestions on how i can get 200HP?

an s4 tII makes 185(ish) fly wheel HP stock so swapping in one of those and adding some basic bolt ons (free slowing exhaust) will get you to and above your 200hp goal. Keep in mind however that upgrading the exhaust means some other supporting mods, like an fuel cut defender.

S4's can run on 87 octane = Better fuel milage. As far as Im concerned, 8.5:1 compression is where its at in a daily driver.

S4 TII is from the older second generation RX7 TII models.
and S5 TII are from the newer ones.
I think its like 86-89 (90)
and 89 (or 90) -92.

I guess S5 you can pull more power out of.
and S4 you can get better fuel milage.

The reason I said s4 is because it is generally though that swapping an s4 in to an s4 is easier that swapping and s5 into an s4 or vica verca...

I think right now what you need to do is head on over to the 2nd gen forums and read up on all the faw threads and everything taht is stickied.

Before you start asking about what an s4 costs to swap you need to learn what everything means and what to look for or you will get a shitty deal on a shitty motor and be pissed.

S4=86-88
S5=89-91

Not always true on your second point, though the S5 does have higher compression, it's really up to the person, tuning and what parts are put onto the engine. Generally, the S5 will have a VERY negligible hp gain on the S4 when modded.
