Post up some pics of the 3rd Gen with 19's!!! Also can you lower the car with 19's?
I just bought a set of 19 and I want to lower the car with a new susp. Any thoughts??? Thanks Chad

 

Sure you can. While you are increasing the wheel diameter, you are decreasing the tire diameter to keep the same overall size as the 16" stock wheels/tires. So basically, nothing happens to the wheel gap until you lower the car unless you use different tire sizing (which can effect your speedo).

What type of driving will you be doing? I'm assuming its just a street car since you have or are thinking about 19's. IMO, you'll be better off with a coilover kit. One of the cheaper ones will give you the adjustability needed to get the ride height where you want it without bursting your wallet.

I just put 18 x 235 x 35's and that is slightly taller than stock. If you went with a 19 you'd have to go to a 20 series to keep the same height. BTW, I get a little rubbing on the front every once in a while with the 18 x 235 x 35's, the rear is fine.

What do you think of the new trend of raising the car and going large? I recently saw a Vette in LA that must have been raised 6" and rolling on what must have been 22" or larger. Looked TOTALLY ridiculous.

 

I dont think the 19 look that big!!! I have 19 235/35 on the front and 19 275/30 on the rear and I think it looks great!!!! I dont think it is like a monster truck, plus i am going to lower thae car too!!! But thanks for the input!!!
