Sun, 24 Jun 2007 Return to the String of Pearls
As usual, we're meeting at 10am, and leaving at 11am.

I know the 1st anniversary is the Paper anniversary, but I couldn't think up a good sounding name for the drive that included paper.
For June we're returning to the drive that started it all. The String of Pearls, aka Whidbey Island. It's hard to believe we've been at this for a year (granted, under another guise to start), but we have.
Special Thanks to 05TiGr8Lady for the pre-lunch portion of the drive. This was a great way to get onto the island, so mess with it.

Damnit!! That was the weekend I was gonna have my 7 out but the new PPF won't be in by then so it's not coming out that weekend... Barring some miracle... I would love to make that drive. I have never had my 7 over there and HWY 20 and HWY 525 would be a blast in it!
1 week to go. The Route Flip Charts are almost ready to go to press, so if you want one, please register sooner rather than later. I used Kinko's in April, but that was pricey, so I really need to use a proper printing press this time around, which means lead time. I'll have a couple extra copies.
Of course, whether you register or not, you're welcome to come. Just remember, once the registered drivers get their Route Books, it's first come first served.

I dont want to be the party pooper or anything, but my friend was telling me about this cruise, and we both live on Whidbey Island. I just want to give you guys warning that even though your route takes you on mostly back roads, I'd recommend watching your speed. For one, we got some fresh new staters out and with a chip on some of their shoulders, the sheriffs aren't that bad, and the Coupeville marshals are pretty cool. But I'm sure you guys will be fine. I'm just giving you guys a heads up.
If I were to join you guys, would a 85 Corolla GTS be ok to roll with you?
I have to see about getting out of work first.

Yeah, we have fun, but we're responsible. Thanks for the the heads up. We do have an 84 Accord that plans to join the fray, so I think your Corolla will be fine. We're all about the driving.
Yeah, they stopped for fuel, and then used the Route Map to finish up the drive and met up with us in line for the ferry.
Pics are up.
