I currently have two toyo t1r's 255/30/19 in the front, and have one 285/30/19 toyo t1r at about 80% thread. I can get a Michelin pilot sport close to the same thread for about $130, or i can get a brand new toyo tire for mid $250's, but i was worried about uneven thread wear, not sure if it matters though. I cant find a used toyo t1r in the specs i need so do i get the pilot sport or buy a brand new toyo tire?

Do not mix tire models, especially at the rear. That leaves the problem of the uneven tire diameter with the LSD. I have replaced a punctured tire at the rear with a few thousand miles on it with no problems....

 

Wouldn't recommend it, tyres will have different traction characteristics.. may even make the car pull to one side if put on the front

 

rule of thumb, always replace both tires at each end of the car at the same time. never one by itself.
