..just got my car back from the dealer...

I took my car into the dealer to get it's 90k maintainence done (my current engine has about 13k on it). well after ripping me off like usual, they found I had a few problems with the suspension and one with the tranny.

first I had a problem that when I released the clutch I would hear a grinding sound. the notes on the receipt say this: traced noise to bearing failure in trans. see esti rebuild trans $1480.00

anyone have any suggestions on things to upgrade/add in this rebuild? and I am not going to the dealer again. I just met a guy around here who owns a shop and has a 2nd Gen RX-7 so he knows the rotary and does his work on it.

Next I heard an occasional snap when I shifted agressively, the notes on this: FOUND LOOSE REAR CONTROL ARM BUSHINGS; UPPER REAR CONTROL ARM BUSHINGS $690.00

Now what should I do for these>? I am going to see If I can do the labor myself on these.

the way the dealership works is...anytime they find a mistake that is suspension or transmission related...they just change the whole f''n thing, they don't repair...they rebuild. If i was you i'd go there and ask them to show you exactly how they reached that conclusion...****** bastards if they even said that to me i'd spit in their face...low good money sucking *************...i hate dealerships

"ooooooooooo we're the dealers...we don't know **** yet we'll charge you an arm and a leg for something we think is the cause. you can go to that rotary mechanic...but we're better because we're the DEALER"

goat ***** to dealerships

I did ask, but the guy said the tech that traced it was gone for the day. I had my clutch replaced and it is under warranty still, so hopefully it would be the pilot bearing in the clutch so I need not spend anymore money. anyone one know of an upgraded bushing?
