so i want to get new struts i have kyb gr-2's at the moment, but i'm upgrading with my tax returns, i dont have enough to afford coilovers but i wanted everyones opinion on which is better -

Shocks, for the most part, don't lower the car themselves (springs do). However, Koni's are an exception where they have an adjustable spring perch.
