n/a s4 fc3s pricing.

Curious how much people payed for their FCs'.

found a clean 86 sport and am looking to make an offer, not sure how much to offer without over-doing it, but at the same time not lowballing him and causing friction.

Thanks! Really hope to truely join the forums when i get a car!

i paid $1800 for my 88 SE 6months ago with 140k, and i thought i got a good deal. interior is almost perfect except some little carpet stains and drivers seat upholstery is splitting, exterior has lots of dings, and front bumper was cracked by the brake vent on drivers side.

s4 na base model 146,000 miles $1000 with a blown motor (coolant seals) , clean interior/exterior , only rust on wheelwheel and sunroof, some bubbling on front windshield now ( 2 years later), also bad wiring (replaced all wiring harnesses)

invested about $5000 into fixing it up

can't sell my '88 SE for $1200 for the life of me and i have gone through most of the car. everyone has their price that they feel comfortable paying i suppose and the market seems to be at a low point right now.

$700 for 87.. Outside has very few dings, hood is a little bent, front bumper needs a little bit of work. Engine has 112k Miles on it, runs perfect, Interior is in need of a drivers side seat and a few minor things. Everything works in it, AC needs to be recharged, and it needs a new Rear Passenger Side Caliper.

$3500 with new tires, OZ rims, newly rebuilt and streetported engine, K&N cone filter, 1 yr old performance suspension, new radiator...etc.

174 on the clock, though, and it needs paint.

its an 86' sport. said to have 80k on the clock. repaint, 'body kit' uh.. and he said something about the old kit being stolen. so i asked about the title being in state throught it's life and if it was ever a theft recovery.

any help/tips are greatly appreciated!

I just got mine today man. He pulled up about an hr ago and the titled was signed and the deal made. When I first saw it, I didn't think much on it. But now, DAMN MAN I am glad I bought the bitch. The inside looks pretty shitty though, but I don't care. All I need is a seat. XD

I paid $2400 for mine. Bought it off a guy on ebay, he ended the auction early for $2400. It is an 86 GXL, was bone stock, great condition, maintinance records, paint needed a good waxing. Now it is for sale, check out the 2nd gen FS section.

I've noticed up here, you're probably going to pay more for an FC than compared to everyone else in the rest of the country...I paid $3250 for me 88 SE with 71k on the odo, clean as hell.

If everything checks out, I think ~ $3k should be sufficient. I would not go any higher - even if its the sport model, which is really nice, it's still an N/A...and its not really worth the trouble eventually when you're going to want more power. If the car is clean and everything checks out, go for it. Gotta be careful especially if its had a repaint and such...

Unless you really like projects, don't settle for a cheapo nightmare car.
