car doesnt wanna stay running in gear

car doesnt wanna stay running in gear

i have an automatic transmission.and when i put it in to gear it wants to die. the only way it stays running is if i neutral drop it which i dont like. also if i take the choke off when its warmed up it doesnt wanna stay running. can somebody help me on this?

do you let it warm up before you try and take off?? was the car running before this?? check around your emissions, and your intake manifold. it sounds like a vacuum leak. you can check for this by let it idle, then spray carb cleaner around. if the rpm's jump, theres your leak.

P.S. the vacuum leak would fix both problems.
