Get a quote from Greyhound's parcel service. The model airplane crowd uses them all of the time. The only thing is that you would have to drop it off at the bus station and your buyer has to pick it up from the bus terminal at his end with his id.

Check, Grayhound is an hour away and also I can't find a box big enough to put the skirts in for safe shipping.

I'm going through TN, but only the eastern edge, like from birmingham to chatt, to knox, then on to VA. but i'm only coming back to baltimore, so if you're just over the line in PA, that might work.

I'm leaving tonight. so let me know.

What dimension box would you need for them? Sometimes you can things with bubblewrap and then take two or three boxes and form the cardboard around your bubbled item. Run tape around the sides and also lengthwise.

TN is a longass drive. Last summer I went from Boston to TN to pick up two dogs from a shelter in Adamsville. The dogs were worth the trip, but it was very very long...

I've packaged up similar bulky objects. *shrug* What are the sideskirts worth?

Another suggestion is to post on the grassrootsmotorsports message board or in various autocrossing forums. Maybe you can get someone coming back from the National SCCA competition in Topeka, KS back to the PA area and they can put the sideskirts in their trailer. Those sideskirts aren't going to fit in your average car imo.
