Which BOV to buy for 5 to 18+ PSI

I have a 1980 RX-7 with a JDM 12AT with factory turbo. It has been modified with an intercooler and street ported.

We will be running 5 psi during the breakin period then it will be increased.

I need to by a BOV but don't know which one to get. I want one that can be set low enough for the break in period and then increased for normal use.

I like the HKS SSQV but I can not find any details on the pressure adjustment range.

Can anyone tell me the if the HKS SSQV will work in this range?

Or what other BOV should I use?

i have had an apexi BOV on my FC for years with no problems. i have ran everything from 8-20psi without having to adjust anything. that might be a good one for ya.

Just make sure you consult with Tial on what spring it should come with, otherwise you could end up with compressor surge out the ***.

You also don't adjust the HKS SSQBOV, it has two ways of discharging air so you can use it on lower or higher boost without adjusting the BOV. However, some people running very low boost (5psi or so) have complained about compressor surge with the HKS BOV, but I've never had a problem with mine. Another thing is that people often get annoyed by the sound of the HKS BOV, as it's very loud and under high boost it's very shrill.
