My new SE

Well after a couple of years with no 7 i just picked up a 1985 GSL-SE Red on Grey. Car is mint and no rust, yes no rust. I pulled the bins and she was completley clean, I could not believe my eyes.

All orginal with only 64,000 km's owned by a family since new and rust checked every year up to 2001. Obviously never seen a winter.

I'm going to get the car on Saturday, I will post more info and pics as I clean her up.

I had to drive to Kingston, but it was well worth the trip.

I'm looking for a back seat, preferably from an FB, but FC seats are good too. Don't flame me for wanting a back seat.

I saw the pics in the 1st gen forum and the car looks amazing. After picking up a 2nd '83 GS a few weeks ago for free, I got to see first hand how bad these cars can rust. It really made me appreciate the condition that my '84 GSL-SE is in. Aside from some very minor surface rust (which will be taken care of by the body shop very soon) my car is rust free as well. Not a spot on the rear inner wheel wells, the floors, the rear control arm mounting points, or the other common places for rust on these things. I got lucky and found a relatively clean car. It's nice to know there's another mint GSL-SE in the area!

No the turbo engine was a mistake, the guy who owned did not know mush about the 7's he only put 10 k on it the five years he owned it. I paid $6500, maybe a bit much but to me it is priceless. This car is completley orginal right down to the exhaust, and not one drop of rust. I couldn't say no!

I get her on Friday!
