A weekend at the California Speedway; April 1st & 2nd, 2006

Price: Timetrails/Lapping: $400 both days, $250 one day

Duration: 2 days 4+ hours of track time per group!**

Track: California Speedway Fontana, CA

Registration: https://speedventures.com/event_forms.asp

Timing: Transponders are available for rental.

Event Info:

Join us for a great weekend at the incredible Cal Speedway, where we'll be
running the full infield track in the clockwise direction (though we may run
CCW on day two if the track will allow it and our drivers want to do so).

Our typical schedule is three run groups, with five sessions per group,
25-30 minutes per session, though we do occasionally go to a four run group
schedule when conditions require it.

*Novices in this case are those who have not driven on a track before. If
you have previous experience on track and are comfortable driving solo, we
respect your decision on whether to use instruction or not.

**Note - Details of this event are subject to change. Event will run rain or
shine.

I was thinking of going, but looks like alot high speed not enough corners.. So dono if I should go.. N/A FC's are no fun in a strait line.. I will be at streets of willow on april 14th though with red line track events ( http://www.redlinetrackevents.com/ )

And Speed ventures puts on a great event, I was at there last buttonwillow event. Good stuff.

Last year an RX8 did very well on this track. He was runing with a Corvette and finally passed him up. The 8 and the corvette passed everybody.

There was a Rabbit that was stripped to the bone that beat everybody until his plugs fouled. He then pulled off and went to the pits. When the Rabbit came to the line I made the mistake of pointing and Laughing at his Krylon paint job. He left everybody in the dust, and I had to remove my foot from my mouth.

I didn't see any RX7s that day.

Did anybody go? I remembered that I had a Boy Scout campout with my two sons. Had to take care of priorities. Any updates?
