Can't really tell the quality of the paint job because the pics are too far away. I would paint the cover in the passenger side opening of the bumper back to black or remove it, and paint the underside spoilers and the rear apron piece back to black. It looks like the shop didn't take the time to take those things off like they should when they painted the car. I would put on a 99 lip as well and leave it black. They don't look right painted. Anyway, love the color.

agreed, paint all the parts that are suppose to be black, black, and that's a fine looking ride.

I disagree with both of you.

I like it the way it is.

The duct cover looks disgusting in yellow. Just remove it. It does nothing cover where the 2nd oil cooler in an R1/R2 would be. If a body shop didn't take the time to mask or remove items like those, it makes me question the quality of the paint job.

A huge percentage of the work in a proper paint job is masking (or preferable removing) parts that are not to be painted. I notice that even the plastic sides of the pop up lights are painted? Was that intentional?

I agree with everyone except Montego (sorry, man ). The lips and duct cover look bad painted yellow. I can't tell if those items are owner's choice or the work of a really shitty body shop.

Because it gives the illusion that thew bumper is closer to the ground, but it makes it lower than the side of the car so it doesn't look right. I had mine painted then painted it back to black because I didn't like it.

I wouldn't have painted those parts yellow. See you 'round the clown center.

And now it's time to realize that it was a bad decision and to get them painted black again....I think if you find a couple of pics of CYMs with black lips/duct cover, you will change your mind.

Seriously, it makes the car look like it has a really, really cheap paint job.

Agreed^
Also, is that a real 99 wing or an aftermarket?
Painting those parts yellow dont look quite right because it looks like a car that's trying to be stock. Go put some 20inch rims on it and some other personal styling cues then the whole package will come together.

Looks more like a racing beat type 2 spoiler. Not the 99 wing.

I think you asked everyone to tell you what they think and they did just that. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder though. Whatever floats your boat. If you like them CYM then keep them CYM, but don't ask everyone what they think and then tell them that their opinion doesn't matter to you just cause you don't agree with their comments.

CYM is my favorite, but I too would make the oil cooler trim peice black or take it out and if at all possible, get a new lip. At least an R1 lip if not the 99 spec. It makes our cars look so much nicer!
