Question I am installing a new Main Cat tomorrow!! But.........

I was wondering while i'm under there,( well first of all i have a '87 SE N/A) could I take off the first cat closer to the engine and de-gut it and leave the middle one alone? I would wonder if anyone in the forum changed their cats like i'm doing, got rid of of the 3800 hesitation!! The main reason i am doing this is because i have a HUGE hole on the top side of my main cat!!!!!!!>>>sounds ugly!!!!!!!!

Any suggestions or tips would be appreciated greatly!!!!!

I wanna throw some flames!!!!!

I gutted the first 2 cats when I installed a high flow main cat. Works fine and gets a noticeable power gain.

Also, you wont throw flames with a cat in there.

so if u replace the cats and precats with strait/down pipe(s), you can pretty easily throw flames in an N/A?
