New to buying an RX7....fell in luv with them while stationed in Japan. A white GXL 5 spd is for sale in Richmond asking 3800 it has 70,000 miles int is perfect...paint is in fair condition but is flaking with no rust. Car is listed in auto trader and have been traking this for about 8 weeks now. He has not sold it yet??? Something wrong? Maybe more experienced buyers have passed on this car.

Eng light comes and goes through all ranges of power and gear shifts??? Flickers.

Drove it for about 30 mins and car feels tight...no weird noises smooth gear transitions and 5th gear is smooth.

AC does not work(which he didnt say anything about it till I mentioned it)

Alt belt looks loose needs to be replaced or tightened?

After test drive while idling in the driveway, opened the hood and noticed the engine pulsating, did about 5-6 times and stopped?

Sunroof sticks and has to be helped open...

Anyone have any comments about this car or know the car being sold? Also, any preferences for a GXL or GTU. I cant find the different specs for each car? Does one have LSD and the other not?

Should I be concerned about the compression on this car?

Sounds like a TPS needs to be adjusted or replaced. I am selling a 91 if you are interested.
