BARotary Parade 2006?

I was thinking of planning an event, (With the help of anyone who wants to help) for a very large Bay Area Event. I was wondering if anyone here would be interested in this.

Taking advantage of the great cities of the BA like San Fran, San Jose, and Oakland. And Taking advantages of the tremedous amount of mountain roads we have here.
My idea is an RX7 Caravan that goes all over the Bay Area sometime in the mid-late spring of 2006

We can start at maybe San Jose at like 10 AM and take a long trip up Mt. Hamilton and Mines road. Then we'll hit Livermore. Then at around 12 ish we'll have a free BBQ for all the members ....we can use a park or a large parking lot (That allows us to stay) for the BBQ.
After everyone eats maybe around 2 ish we drive down to Fremont using Niles Canyon road (It's a short mountain road, but not extreme at all). We can caravan around Fremont and find some place to stop for other caravaners to join. Then get to San Jose at around 5ish. Then to San mateo for Dinner, and then travel around San Fran through Lombard, Embarcadaro, Market St as a giant parade of Rotary power. And Oakland too if we want and have time.

This isn't set in stone, it's just a general idea of what we can do. Maybe if we get a lot of people interested we can get some cheap Dyno's or some Rotary shops to let us park in their lots or donate parts, and coupons for a raffle. After all it's great advertisment for the shop.

Anyone interested in this event? Because if a lot of you are then maybe we can try to plan everything out this winter. Try to make it the biggest rotary event in the BA. Who knows, even Sevenstock started small.

You might be able to drag some of the Nor Cal Sevens out, if you ask nicely, haha. I now I'd be willing to come out if my car's working in sound order.

Yea I would like as many rotaries out there to come. That's why I think we should have the BBQ in the east bay so more people will come from the north

What do you think of the caravan

If you set it up they will come. haha, Well, the Nor Cal Sevens group is usually good for at least seven to show up. My car gets poop for gas mileage so it better be worth the cost of gas...

Well...either way....whether we do a caravan/bbq in the east bay or not...i'm still in the process of planning the uber BBQ (hopefully)

Let's try to do both. If you can get something together, let's do it.
It'll be a while before it's good BBQ weather anyway...and I figured a lake would be cool...I know a few people with boats...
