I have a 87' non turbo that is making some nasty exhaust fumes and runnig rough at idle and as I rev it up it clear out some but the nasty exhaust still comes out. Could this be timing or just some old fuel. ( it has not been ran in like 2 or 3 years. I just now got it a few days ago. Any suggestions would be nice.

 

Bad fuel my friend. Sitting for 2 years....just imagine how bad that gas is. Run it around and get some new fuel in it and injector cleaner or gas treatment.

 

There's a fuel tank drain plug... You may have a lot of lawnmower refills..
