anyone have Hankook tires for autocross?

i was thinking of getting Hankook's Ventus Rs2 Z212 for autocross use. does anyone have these that can give me an opinion of these vs Falken Azenis Rt615.

if i could save $20 a tire and get close to the same performance of the tire, that would be cool.

I've never run them but have spoken with others who have on an STi and a Civic. Basically the Hankook was very good but somewhere around halfway through the tread life the Hankook's grip would really start to go away. The Falkens do not have that problem. OTOH if you're running Falkens you'll need water to cool them after every run unless it's not hot out. The Falkens like to be warm, not hot.

Damon, I thiought the 615s liked it hot vs the 215s... Either way 615 was the best by a good shot iover all other street tires according to GRM. Carl

The Hankooks have proven themselves by winning some national events in street tire classes, probably would be my 2nd choice for an autocross street tire behind RT615s. My Toyo T1-S I could get away with spraying every 3 or 4 runs but with RT215s and 615s I was having to spray every run. Most people I have seen running the Hankooks are spraying them one or twice a session if they have a co-driver.

well at my autocross its a mile track, and you'll make 4 runs maybe a 1/2 hour to an hour apart. so i'm not too worried about them getting too hot, if you know what i mean
