Auto To Manual Shop Price (fd)

Alright I have been seeing these threads flying around everywhere and most people are giving bs answers. I searched for most of the rotary shops around socal or in cali and called each one of these shops about this. These prices are of quick estimates so don't take them to heart, they are more of feelers.

rotory reliablilty& racing 714 839-8018 - 1500 labor

Rotary power - Will NOT DO

gs rotary- 323 445 4862 call again

R&R Rotary in upland. 909 593 8080 call again

J & G Automotive. La Cresenta Ca. 818 957 7530 -1500 labor

Sidepex (626) 291-2133- 3500 labor

Impulsive Rotary's 909-873-0015 call again

SPD RACING 1-760-787-5759 (1000 LABOR ) 2500 EVERYTHING

Mazdatrix 562-426-4460- WILL NOT DO

REMEMBER IF YOU CALL THE SHOP AND THEY TELL YOU THOSE PRICE ARE NOT CORRECT DON'T BLAME ME. I CALLED THEM AND THOSE WERE THE EST. I RECEIVED.

Update the list if you find new information or more shops.

do your homework on impulsive rotary... better yet, talk to detective porter of the ontario police department. he'll give you a heads u as to the activity of that place...and the people associated with it.

spd looks too good to be true... if it is true, jump on that!!

$2500 everything? i wouldn't pay until the job is done. hell i'd be weary of handing them my keys...

on average the prices are around $4k for everything, most shops probably won't charge a ton on labor but may hit you up for more after they run into problems which they likely will and have high prices on the transmission and parts. just a few things to think about, also if you pick up your own tranny to supply them be sure it is coming from a reputable source.

Why is $2500 a bad price? I did my swap myself, and it took $1450 in parts and took me a day and a half to go from slushbox to commutable 5-speed. Its not that hard to do the swap, especially for a rotary shop who's done it before.
