Need some AZ people help on information about Tucson

Hey fellow AZ people:

I just got a job offer in Tucson, AZ(Marana actually) that I am seriously considering.

I've only been to Tucson about a couple of times in my life, the last time I went was the early 90's and I don't remember it so well.

Anyways, generally city questions:

-Where to live, where not to live

-Where is the happening part of town, the bad part of town?

-How are the girls down there?

-Cost of living? Affordable, High, Average or Good?

That's all I can think of for now. I have 48 hours to decide if I'm gonna go or not. Any help, or general comments you guys have about the area would be great.

Thanks,

E7

Well, lets see:

-Where to live, where not to live

If you are going to be working in Marana, you will probably want to live north west Tucson. You can live Eastside, which is also a nice place, but you will be commuting. Northwest is all pretty nice place.

-Where is the happening part of town, the bad part of town?

There is a good bar scene on 4th street. Downtown, etc.. Its a college town, you are bound to find something to do.

-How are the girls down there?

umm.. Well done?

-Cost of living? Affordable, High, Average or Good?

Cost of living USED to be cheap, but Tucson had a really big housing boom in the last 3 years, and now the price of houses is straight up ridiculous. Good for me because I bought mine before the boom, bad for you because its going to be hard to find a cheap house.
