okay, i capped off my EGR, and now my car has a check engine for EGR...
Electrical EGR
So, it must be a '94 ? I had this same issue when I replaced the original '94 engine with a '97 J-spec engine, which has no EGR valve. The ECU continues to look for the EGR signal or you get a Check Engine Light Code 16.
Pettit advised to swap the ECU to a '93 ECU which does not monitor the EGR valve. I did and the Code 16 disappeared.
Were you able to get rid of the Check Engine light in anither way ?
Cheers

California rx7s have an egr sensor. Spooledup7 gave some good advice as to get around the ecu error code when removing or diabling the egr using a 12 volt relay. I used a Bosch relay for about 3 dollars at radia shack. Do a search on this forum.

I'm thinking of selling my '95 FD Pettit ECU. It's nice and '95 has no EGR check light problems. 1995-on FD has no EGR at all.
