something like this!
Old wheels are 18" and standard springs
New wheels are bronze ones, 17" and lowered springs!

Well, not 18s, but here's a comparison between my stock wheel/stock suspension 95 and then with 18s and lowered suspension:

STOCK

WITH 18 and LOWERED

STOCK

WITH 18 and LOWERED

Hah, the old photos were cheapo film camera, scanned, and then dropped to very low res. The new photos are digital camera at high res.

Those are Enkei RP-01 in 18x8.5, 18x9.5, Toyo T1-S in 235/40 and 265/35

Suspension sure looks dropped to me, either that or the tire sizes are an inch taller than stock.

Targa = massive reduction in vehicle rigidity.

Unless the chassis is reinforced when the targa is cut. Out of the three FD's I've driven, this one is actually the stiffest.

not the best picture, but these are 18s on stock base suspension. it doesn't look jacked up, especially in the rear.

no, it's reinforced underneath. It's so stiff that when you jack up the front wheel, rear comes up too.

What tire sizes are you running? Is that a 93? 94-95s do have slightly higher ride height. Also, the jacked up look is much noticeable on lighter colored cars.

I think the dozens of people who compliment it every day I drive with the top off and the hundreds of heads that it turns beyond that would tend to disagree.

You are, of course, entitled to your own opinion, but I personally like the fact that my car is entirely unique. Most people can't say that. I guess that's why my car is sponsored while most aren't.

its a 94 with 275-35rear 255/35 front. the wheel well gap is less versus the stock wheels. which, makes sense, due to the wheel/tire combo being slightly larger. i am sure lower profile tires would yield a bigger gap, but who needs a lower profile than 35. i would agree that black or montego would show it much less than red, white, or silver.

That's why, 275/35 18 is almost 3/4" taller than stock tires.

255s wont hold 450rwhp, hell neither do the 275s

remember to divide the 3/4 in half for how much of the gap it will take up. it is 3/4 larger diameter only 3/8 larger radius.

either way the thread poster asked for picks of 18" wheels on stock suspension, and that is what you are looking at on my car.

gonna look even better when the coilovers go on.
