i am going to get one for my current car and i wanted to make sure it would fit into an fd once i get one. (and i will get one oh yes )

 

Reboot- Do you mind if I ask how you know for sure? I am a great fan of eXcelon products and was going to go with the 919, but I searched a few sites such as crutchfield, and the demensions did not line up with the car. I haven't bought one yet, but I still might consider the excelon if it really does fit. I am guessing the reason it doesn't is becuase of the depth of the stock player. So if you could just let me know how you know it would be appreciated.

weird.. i just checked out crutchfield and after putting in 93 rx7 half the decks were gone on the list. im pretty sure it will fit, never heard of any problems with fitting single din sized decks. you can call them and ask because they might tell you exactly why it may not fit or it could just be an error. but like i said, i never heard of anybody having problems with single decks in an fd.

 

Ive installed a KDC-X815 in mine. it fit OK. Some of the wiring has to be carefully routed to make room for the deck. I put a tray in the lower din space to hold CD's.

It's of the excelon series. I don't know how similar it is to the KDC-X717
