Mariah has a cold-air box ($133)

Just visited the mariah website. They sell a cold air box for the FC. I think it's way overpriced for a few pieces of fiberglas ($133, according to the descriptions the filters are not included) . Does anyone got an idea to get the dimensions so we can make them ourselves.

I got the K&N Fipk pakket. When you look at the last picture you can see that the airhose to the airpump is above of the airfilter. If you mount the adapter (1986-1988 FC3s) in this way the MAF is turned 90 degrees when compared to the stock position. Wouldn't this affect the air-fuel ratio??

Marco.

i made one myself out of some sheets of flashing that my dad had. what you can do is get some cardboard and make a template using that and rearraing the walls the way you want. then just trace the template onto the material you want and either fold or rivet it together. or, polyurethane coat the cardboard and use it as a mold if you're doing fiberglass...
i agree though....whoever pays that much for the mariah one has too much extra money lying around

Damn! I will start manufacturing my own fiber air boxes and sell them here for half that price.

I plan to build my own fiberglass cold air box for my FC this winter, with all the rest of the mods. I will have an instructional site up for it within the next couple months, as I do the mods myself obviously!

I will be doing to some fiberglass work to my doors and fenders anyway, what's a little more to build the box?
