wanting to buy megasquirt

i was thinking about buying this preassemled megasquirt box... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...sPageName=WDVW

all i need to know is how to use the stock ecu to do the stock timing and retard under boost... if the MS uses all the sensors, and the stock ECU needs those sensors to accurately calculate timing, then how the hell does they both work in sync?

i've been reading about this all afternoon and i cant seem to find any descriptive instructions on how to use this in conjunction with the stock ecu/timing.

my question was on using the stock ecu and ignition in conjunction with the megasquirt. not a modded 12a distributor.

Jacobcartmill, when I was running the MegaSquirt on my car I installed seperate sensors just for it. Coolant temp, inlet air temp, tps and of course it's built in MAP sensor.
