heres how it will work.

You remove your steering wheel horn cover ( 2 screws if i remember correct, and take off the horn cover)

You'll see a big nut threaded onto the steering shaft. Take that off, then pull like a **** to get the wheel off, it will be very hard, or buy a steering wheel puller set (should be cheap, like 10 bucks)

The aftermarket steering wheel should come with the screws to mount it to the hub, then the hub just slides on like the original did, and VOILA!

That should be it

ok you cut the old one off ..

next take the new steering wheel and stick it where the old one was using super glue and some duct tape if you need it.

When doing it without a puller, do not fully remove the nut. That way when the wheel finally give you will not smack yourself in the face with it. Steering wheel removal has caused many busted noses.

You will probably need an RX-7 "steering wheel installation kit" if your aftermarket steering wheel isn't made specifically for RX-7s. Most auto parts stores should have them. It will have the piece with the ridges that fits over the steering wheel rod that adapts to your steering wheel base.

everyone is forgetting that the turn cancel/wheel position switch is behind the stock wheel. make sure the aftermarket wheel has the correct adapter to match up to the two guide pins for the wheel position switch.

Yes, wiggle and pull it with brute force. REALLY don't forget to leave that nut on there for your protection when pulling on it.

1st. take the horn cover off, 2nd take the nut that attach to the steering wheel,3rd then go rent a steering wheel puller from autozone. 4th install the right hub on your rx7 and then put the nut back on and tighten and torque it to 32, forgot ask around, then get a quick release or just get a aftermarket steering and attach screw around the hub. Done!
