You need 3 things for an engine to technically run:

1- Air
2- Gas
3- Spark

Let's start with what you know...

How do you know it doesn't have spark?
Any engine codes?

did you test the CAS? If it was indeed bad then replace it. Check your coils.

hell, even before you check the coils, check your fuses... I had one of the main engine fuses (i think EGI Main) have a hairline crack in it before, and that was causing me to get no spark... It could be something easy

Sounds like flooding and you should do the *deflood* procedures. If you replace the cas IMHO your compounding your problems because you have to ask yourself *how do I now know the new cas is installed exactly where it should be?*.

I'd at the least take the lower plug wires off and lay them close to the nuts on the left strut tower attach studs, and spin the engine over while looking for any indication of spark. If you have spark....it ain't the cas unless it's been rotated willey nilley.

If you have spark....do the unflood procedures and try again. I've never seen a bad cas, ever. But I don't get around that much, so take it for what it's worth.

If it's sat for a while, I'd be checking things like fuel filters and injectors first. If you don't have a timing light, grab a flourescent bulb, make it dark in the engine bay, crank her over, and look for flashing pulses in the bulb when held next to the plug wires. Like Hailers said (he's right sometimes), don't touch the CAS yet, until you've done some troubleshooting to verify no spark. Pull at least one plug from each rotor housing and see if they're wet with fuel. If so, start the unflooding procedures. If not, figure out why you're not getting fuel.

Tell you what. IF you already have the cas out, try this. Pull the two lower plugs. Then lay all four plug wires up on hte fender. Now turn the key to ON. Now spin the CAS with your fingers. The plugs should spark big time. Be SURE THE CAS IS STILL PLUGGED IN when you do this.

If they spark, good. Now plug the afm plug in and do it again. If they still spark, your cas and afm are just dandy and the problem lies elsewhere. Beats flourescent lights all to smithenes(so).
