Hey guys,

I just recently picked up a stock TII hood for my car. Don't ask why I didn't have one before cuz its too long of a story.

Anyway, my S5 FC is red and the TII hood is black. I've been getting mixed opinions on this setup. Personally I was planning to paint it red and be done with it, but now I'm starting to think about picking up a carbon fibre one instead.

Opinions please. Should I just paint it red and be done with it? Or maybe go with the carbon fibre. However, if I go with the carbon fibre should I leave the head light covers red or paint them black or even get them custom made of carbon fibre?

Dont get carbon fiber, looks f*ck*n ugly! ill stick with fiber glass...best way to go and paint it... IF you did get that carbon fiber hood, it wouldnt look right on your car..
All I have to say to you is....It's your car and your choice, do what you want with it....

felixwankel88, what do you think I should do about the headlight covers?? Leave them red or, color them black/carbon fiber to match the hood?

 

Leave them red. If you change the headlight covers, what about the bumper and fenders and so on.....

Just the hood CF on RED and or white and yellow look good. I dont really like it on black, but thats just me...

 

Does anyone know if it is still possible to by the east bear head light kit? I think it would look pretty sweet with the CF hood.

Any info?

See, thats what I think too, but the more people say that they like it, the more I start to like it.

You'll want it painted as soon as someone walks up commenting on your carbon fiber hood, then finding out it's really a mis-matched hood.

 

I bought a used RE Amemiya hood in black about 2 years ago and meant to get it painted...and then never did. It grew on me. Besides, anybody that says it's "ricey" I DARE them to race me.

 

Good point. I've been waiting to paint it until I get the rest of my body kit and then paint the whole thing painted at once.

But, the more people tell me they like the black hood, the more I think about getting the CF hood from fc3s.org

Once everything is done, they can talk all they want. Most people won't even be able to see it cuz all they'll see is my rear as they try and catch up! hee hee hee (right)

The truth about the headlights? I was working on changing out one of my head light bulbs(putting brighter ones in) and an acquaintenance of mine walked up and pulled off one of the covers...he broke all 4 tabs off of it! SO...I didn't want to be stuck without a cover and called my friend Brett(FDOkinawa) and he gave me 2 black covers (since he had the east baer kit anyways). So I put them on...and it turned out pretty good. I wasn't supposed to have them on for long...but they stayed on for about a year till I got my headlight kit
