Who would recommend me a good shop to rebuild this turbos

 

Davinci Motorworks is the only shop that rebuilds/upgrades kai's and spl's

 

where ia that located?

 

Here in Belleville Illinois. Right outside St.Louis. What do you need done to it?

 

i just need basically is a new cartridge and turbine wheel, im not to sure about the cartridge tho

Maybe you should call them yourself and ask instead of going by hearsay. Rumors run rampid around here

Turbo is still good...... still loud as hell

 

you have a T51R kai too? and got it rebuilt by them?

 

I've got a kai also yes...... and have had it rebuilt twice now. First time, the oil feed line got pinched and starved the turbo of oil. Second time my turbo sucked in my manual boost controller. It's an easy turbo to work on.

 

in my turbo it sucked in the gold cone that screws in the fron wheel and chewed up all the fins and bent the shaft, how much you payed for your rebuilt if you dont mind me asking?

 

The compresor wheel is 180 and you'll have to call davinci about the shaft. I forgot what that runs....

 

how much did you spen to fix your turbo

 

I forgot what the cartridge costed the first time. It was a few years ago. I only spent $180 to replace the comp wheel last month.

what kind of horsepower your singing with these turbos?

 

i belive a member made 620 on a full bridgeported motor. but i think they are good for up to ~800

soul assassin, he lived in japan at the time and had an hks dogmission (5k retail hard to find) and a bunch of other upgrades. since then he has parted it out and sold parts to various forum members, and others. he was in the army and decided to part it instead of bringing back with him. very impressive.
