Usually I will drive my 13B PP NA 2 gen to track. but I dont think i will ever pass the DB test in Laguna seca. Usually I will just give it up and some where else, But this deal is too hard to let go..

So I might drive my T04R(T66) FD3S to Laguna seca any way.. Just wory to blow my engine over there. my car had flollowing done. Tri point rebuild engine with 3mm apexi seal. MKIV supra pump. 1300cc sec injector. Power FC and tune by XS

I plan to use Racing Gas(100 Octane). Low boost (under 12 PSI, 350 WHP ). new spark plugs. 245/40/ hoosier.

I wonder how many fourm member or people you know take their single turbo RX7 on track and blow it over there?

 

What boost, what cooling mods, do you have a water temp gauge? Bring it, what AFRs are you tuned to? What do you have for brakes? Get some Carbotech XP9 pads, lots of water wetter, 90/10 water/glycol, I can always use my FC to push you

 

Yeah, just make sure your cooling system and brake system is in order and you should be fine.

 

My cooling MOD? Fluidyne Radiator. 25 row oil cooler. Scoot HOOD.


Thing need to be done to use my FC to laguna seca. New muffler. LAVA ROCK with supertrap. install and paint my RE AMEMIYA Front pumper. put Gene BERG 58 IDA on it and dyno tune it again. mabe I can get away with oil cooler ?

YA Tune By XS. GOT 400WHP AT 14PSI. A/F is between high 10 and low 11.

Dont feel to good to bring single on track. might work on my FC and test the sound on locoal track before I can decide any thing

 

Many people run single turbos on FDs for track cars. It's not a problem. The main thing for you is going to be your brakes. If you don't have a big brake kit, you'll need some real lapping pads to make the stock brakes last more than 10 minutes.

Get fresh track pads, keep your boost in control, m ake sure your cooling system is up to snuff (temp gauge is a good thing). and HAVE AT IT!!

Let your FD stretch it's legs once in a while. It'll thank you for it.

Yeah... Laguna Seca is pretty tough on brakes. One day at that track totally ate up track specific pads on my FD brakes.

 

If I plan use my FD. I either going to use HAWK BLUE or big brake kit.

DAM every one is in favor or FD, mm..

 

I definatly say 13B PP, that would be a lot of fun. And did they have to do special stuff for the 787B, or did they just let the track be noiser since it was a special day.
