Arrow anyone got a link to a page w/ the different side view mirrors for FDs?

Mahjik? hehe

I searched, I saw very few. I went to http://www.scuderiaciriani.com/ and surprisingly, that's not one of the things he has pics of.

If there's a thread I'm not aware of that has pics of all the different ones, that would be great. If not, anyone care to post the ones they have pics of? TpCpLaYa, can ya help w/ the pics?

1) go to www.jt-imports.com and go through all the JDM manufacturers, quite a number of them offer replacement mirrors.

Yep, PVerdieck has the best idea.

Keep in mind that there are only a few set of replacement mirrors that will bolt up like the stock units (Knightsports is the one that comes to mind). The others will require some extra body work/paint.

There is a set on eBay right now that looks as if it would bolt right up. They are made by RE and they are red.

RE-A, FEED, Knightsports, R-Magic all make ones that mount/cover the stock location.

This isn't actually for me...it's for my body shop guy. He has an FD, but isn't computer savvy, and obviously isn't on the forum. But he wanted to get a good look at the different mirrors they have.

I'm pretty sure where they mount doesn't make a difference to him, but he wants mirrors that don't mount on two different places (ie two attachment points).

I guess I'll run through JT's site...

RE and FEED mount in a single place but cover the stock mount so you dont need to get it shaved.

Is the mirror a wide angle or blue tint in the Ganadors? Do you think there will be a problem using them in a LHD car? Problem in not being able to adjust enough in direction?

Blue tint actually..

I havent heard any complaints I think there is about 8 sets just from us for the RX7 and RX8s.. I dont see any problems with using them. You wont have the "objects in the mirror are closer then they appear" though.

I have some re ones out of japan, and just for some advice, if you go with a company from japan, be prepared to have the passenger mirror non functional. Being that in japan that mirror is for the driver, and here it isn't, the angle doesn't allow you to look at anything. My drivers side mirror is fine but my passenger mirror is basically just cosmetic.

APR makes a nice replacement mirror that looks a little more sporty and covers the entire hole.

Not a bad price either. Sure you lose the power mirror functionality, but honestly how many people change their mirrors once they are set? They only time I have ever changed mine is if someone bumped it. Not too often.

Bricke,

I like those CF mirrors...and I might even go w/ them. My only complaint is, I have yet to see a pic of the most important angle (for me): A pic of the VIEW the mirror gives you!

Craft Square also makes a CF replacement mirror for the FD, but the guy emailed and said $425 shipped to the US. Still not bad, but I went with the APR mirrors instead. Here's the Craft Square ones:
